Earth Doula soft-cover book

from $30.00

Earth Doula is an illustrated guide for Earth medicine, stewardship, and healing. At a time when so many have forgotten or been disconnected from sustaining life, Queen Hollins immerses us in Black Indigenous wisdom, practices, and rituals to grow resilience as a thriving planet.

Each chapter holds at-home practices for stewarding the air, water, our bodies, ancestors, children, and our collective future. Queen’s lineages of Black Southern and Indigenous healing modalities combine with her lived experience as a queer Black community leader in Long Beach to make Earth medicine accessible to humans of all ages and backgrounds.

Earth Doula is environmentally printed on Ohlone Lands by Greenerprinter in Richmond, California, with soy-based inks on recycled paper, 136 pages, 8” x 8”, full-color, and perfect bound soft cover. Illustrations by Sarita Doe (@saritadoe), Jenny Montalvo (@sapitostudio), and Jasmine Nyende (@standardizedsext).

Earth Doula restores us to a state of gratitude and interdependence by training us to become doulas in the rebirthing of a sustainable planet. The ecosystems and all beings here are our relatives and teachers, and we have a responsibility to them. Queen gives us instructions on how to access Earth medicine for keeping our spirits and immune systems strong. Earth Doula is a family-oriented treasure for every bookshelf, filled with colorful illustrations, invocations, and rituals to support us in deepening our relationships as a planet. The practices held within build a legacy of repair to heal each reader as well as generations forward and back.

Queen Hollins is the Founder of the Earthlodge Center for Transformation and started her DIY PhD with School for the Ecocene in 2020. She is a 2024 Harvey Milk Award Recipient and community leader in Long Beach, California, where she established the Earthlodge in 2004. The Earthlodge has become a beacon of inspiration and self-healing for women, LGBTQI, BIPOC, children, and anyone who supports the rise of the feminine energy on the planet. At the Earthlodge, communities have healed and transformed individually as well as shifted lineages of pain and trauma. Queen is now channeling over twenty years of experience as a queer Black community Earth healer into Earth Doula.
