We Gathered for our Planet
On June 21st and 22nd, we hosted our 2nd Annual Confluence in collaboration with and celebration of the Feminist Center for Creative Work's 10-year anniversary.
We came into the space with a lot occurring locally; anxiety from all the attempts to disrupt our Black and Brown communities. We came out of the space feeling protected, present, and connected, like family.

We all have medicines that are powerful and available to each other, and the Confluence was a reminder of that. It was incredible to have intergenerational connections in the space. We need more of that: babies, elders, papas, mamas, aunties, titx all sharing in love and liberation.
The altar-making and river held us in their magic. We are creating the structures that help us rebuild post-empire. We hope the cordage-making folks are still weaving their dreams into the yucca fibers.

Thank You!
Thank you to the DIY PhD presenters for allowing us to witness you in your vulnerability and power, workshop presenters bringing our bodies into reverence and regulation, to the Mycelia Market vendors who brought uplifting offerings and examples of post-capitalist care, DJ Quetza & Memoriver’s Stepfanie for playing and capturing the community’s sonic textures, Woody and crew from Food Not Bombs for feeding us, and ‘Ooxor ‘Aweeshko for providing a Children’s Village so parents and kiddos alike could play. Shoutout Ecocene Stewards for putting in so much energy, time, and action to pull this off. Thank you to @grantloveproject and our Earth Angel Forest for their generous support in making this possible.
Congratulations to @feministcenterforcreativework for 10 years of moving toward liberation as well. It was a pleasure to collaborate with you and feel held in your new building and shared garden.
Thank you to Pachamama!!! To the Earth deities within and all around us.
We look forward to seeing you at the next Confluence!
